Nepal Health Conclave 2.0 begins in Kathmandu
December 26, Kathmandu: The Nepal Health Conclave, 2024, organized by the Ministry of Health and Population, kicked off in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The two-day conclave is aimed at promoting partnerships, exchanging knowledge and discussing challenges facing the health sector of the country.
Inaugurating the conclave ‘Nepal Health Conference 2024: Coordinating Diaspora for Healthcare Strengthening’, the Secretary at the Ministry, Dr Roshan Pokharel expressed the belief that it would help identify and resolve the problems of the Diaspora Nepali community and the health sector.
He said the use of modern technology would help make the health sector effective. In a video message, Director-General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wished the conference a success, saying health workers are the backbone of the health system. He stressed the need for health workers across the world to unite for strengthening the healthcare system.
