Constitution amendment based on need: NA Chair Dahal

Chitwan, Dec 25: National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal has clarified that the constitution could be amended based on necessity and relevance.

He said it while speaking at the program organized to mark the 70th Establishment Day of Shree Padampur Basic School located at Kalika municipality-5. Chair Dahal mentioned, “We are facing some complexities due to delays in formulating acts and laws.

We are rich in fundamental rights.” But regressive efforts in the name of constitutional amendment should not be accepted, he stressed. He argued that citizens have gained many rights including republic, federalism, and secular state with the promulgation of the constitution. —RSS
