Kathmandu Gurkhas register their first win

December 4, Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Gurkhas secured their first victory in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) franchise cricket tournament by winning Wednesday’s first match against the Karnali Yaks.

The Gurkhas successfully chased down a target of 150 runs, defeating the Yaks by 3 wickets with 3 balls remaining. The Yaks, batted first after Gurkhas won the toss and decided to field first, scoring a total of 149 runs in the allocated 20 overs.

While this marks the Gurkhas’ first win of the tournament, the Yaks are still searching for their first victory. Currently, the second match of the day between the Lumbini Lions and the Biratnagar Kings is underway.
