Foreign Minister Dr Rana departs for China

November 28, Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba left for China on Thursday. She left for China this afternoon for an official visit at the friendly invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

This is Dr. Rana’s first visit to China since being appointed as Nepal’s Foreign Minister. She was seen off at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai and officials of the ministry.

During this visit, Minister Dr Rana will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. The meeting will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China on Friday.

She has left for China in preparation for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to China in addition to her official visit to China. Prime Minister Oli is leaving for China next week.

Foreign Minister Dr Rana will return to Nepal on Saturday (November 30).
