One killed and another seriously injured in road accident in Bhaktapur

November 28, Kathmandu: A person died and another sustained critical injuries in a road accident that occurred on Thursday morning in Gaththaghar of Bhaktapur district.

Jite Dheula of Bhaktapur Municipality-5 was critically injured and his spouse Nabina was killed in the accident. The accident took place when a truck heading towards Kathmandu hit a scooter that Dheula couple was riding.

The injured is undergoing treatment at the Citizen Community Hospital. Police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver Buddha Bahadur Ghalan of Makawanpurgadhi rural municipality-4 of Makwanpur district.
