Paddy production increases by 10 percent in Dang
Dang, Nov. 22: Paddy production has increased by 10 percent this year in the Dang district compared to last year.
The district produced 178,700 metric tons of paddy this year, the District Agriculture Knowledge Centre said. Sufficient rain and timely supplies of fertilizers contributed to increased paddy production, it is said.
Centre’s Information Office Prithvi Raj Lamichhane said paddy farming was done on 36,108 hectares of land in the district. The farmers in the Dang district have produced Sabitri, Radha-4, Sunaulo Sugandha, Loktantra, Gorakhnath, and US 312, among other types of paddy. —RSS
