Home Minister instructs to implement proactive measures for reducing road accident
Kathmandu: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has instructed the police to take proactive measures to reduce road accidents and ensure road safety.
With the rise in road accidents, Home Minister Lekahk directed Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar to ensure that passenger vehicles do not exceed their capacity and that cargo vehicles are not used to transport passengers.
Likewise, Minister Lekhak also emphasized activating police units across the country to address the growing concern of road safety.
Furthermore, Minister Lekhak also mentioned that, in order to reduce road accidents, transport operators, workers, and relevant authorities must remain vigilant and cooperate.
