Youth Resolution Campaign kicks off on November 8

Kathmandu: A Mechi-Mahakali Youth Resolution Campaign, along with a 10-point agenda, is to be undertaken from November 8.

Addressing a news conference today, Nepali Congress youth leader Bhupendra Bahadur Shahi said the Mechi-Mahakali Youth Resolution Campaign is being organized to motivate the youths towards entrepreneurship for the goal of building a prosperous Nepal, expressing their solidarity in democracy, the rule of law, the rights and interests of youths and the civil rights.

Shahi is the coordinator of the march which will also pass through Itahari, Lahan, Janakpur, Lalbandi, Birgunj, Bharatpur, Lamahi, Birendranagar and Kohalpur along its journey. The youth march as part of the Campaign will be started from Mechinagar, Kakadbhitta of Jhapa district and conclude on reaching Kanchanpur, Mahakali on November 19.

On the occasion, the Campaign coordinator Shahi said that entrepreneurship is inevitable for Nepal’s development and only an appropriate mobilization of the country’s youth force can protect the political achievements.

Also the former general-secretary of Nepal Tarun Dal, Shahi said, ‘The Nepali Congress should not only have the strength to promote youth entrepreneurship but also the power to change the country’s condition. In an agricultural country like Nepal, millions of youths can be employed at home through the modernization of agriculture.’

The Campaign has the objective of making the youths not only the partners of political movements but also the nation’s economic development, Shahi emphasized on the occasion and expressed his belief that the campaign will also be successful in promoting democratic values, ending the culture of impunity and corruption, in establishing good governance, encouraging youth entrepreneurship and leading the nation towards prosperity.
