PM directs Health Ministry to frame programmes on concept of ‘Healthy Nepal’

August 9, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the Ministry of Health and Population to develop and implement programmes in the health sector in line with the framework of ‘Healthy Nepal’.
At a meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Thursday, PM Oli asked the stakeholders from the Health Ministry to work on concrete programmes that could be done in a hundred days to address the key challenges in the country’s health sector.
Likewise, PM Oli asked the officials to prioritize preventive and curative measures in the areas of mental and physical health.
On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, Minister for Health and Population Pradip Poudel, Chief Secretary Liladevi Gadtaula and other secretaries were also present.
