Bhoto Jatra today

Kathmandu: Today is Bhoto Jatra. It is a cultural festival of the Kathmandu Valley when the Bhoto (a vest-like attire) of Rato Machhindranath is displayed to the public.

The government has announced a public holiday for today in the Kathmandu Valley on the occasion of the Rato Machhindranath’s chariot fair.    

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notice announcing the public holiday in the Kathmandu Valley.
