Communication Secretary Radhika Aryal emphasizes Radio Nepal’s vital role in connecting government and people

Kathmandu: Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Radhika Aryal, highlighted the essential role of Radio Nepal in bridging the gap between the government and the people.

Speaking at the completion ceremony of the orientation training for newly appointed employees of Radio Nepal, Aryal emphasized Radio Nepal’s longstanding historical importance.

During the event, Secretary Aryal congratulated the new employees urging them to enhance their expertise and contribute to Radio Nepal’s growth.

Similarly, Secretary Aryal also underscored the importance of regular skill development training to meet the evolving needs of the institution.

As Chairperson of Radio Nepal’s board of directors, Secretary Aryal assured her support for Radio Nepal through legal means, addressing issues such as budget approval, manpower management, and financial challenges.

Furthermore, she emphasized the necessity of high-level management and employee training to overcome these obstacles.

Acting Executive Director of Radio Nepal, Khagendra Khatri, expressed confidence that the enthusiasm of new employees will lead to positive outcomes and promote Radio Nepal through collective efforts.

Deputy Executive Director Krishna Chandra Poudel reinforced the station’s commitment to public broadcasting and encouraged new employees to work with mutual cooperation and respect.

Newly appointed co-newsreader for Limbu language, Bishnu Maya, and senior technical assistant, Bedprakash Neupane, spoke on behalf of the new employees.

BishnuMaya highlighted the importance of journalism in serving the public, while Neupane shared practical insights gained during the training.

The program conducted by senior program officer Naveen Dahal, included a five-day orientation for the newly appointed employees.

Out of the 27 new employees, 11 joined the engineering services, 7 joined the communications and program services, and 9 joined the administrative services.
