APF established Help Desk set up in 122 places to prevent untoward activities during festive season

October 11, Kathmandu: The Armed Police Force (APF) has established Help Desk in 122 locations and Health Desk in 33 places across the country to prevent untoward activities during the nearing Dashain, Tihar and Chhat festivals.

APF’s Spokesperson SSP Rajendra Khadka shared that the 120 Help Desk were set up in places bordering India while two such desks were established in places bordering China.

Likewise, Health Desk was put in 30 places in the side bordering with India and three with China, explained Spokesperson Khadka.

According to him, the Help Desk and Health Desk were set up in coordination and cooperation with security personnel of India and China in view of the upcoming Dashain, Tihar and Chhat festivals to facilitate the citizens in border points for their safe and easy movement as well as to rescue those in emergency situation.

Help Desk were established in 25 places under the Baraha Battalion at Pakali in Sunsari district, 53 under the Chinnamasta Battalion in Mahottari district, two under the Gadhimai Battalion in Makawanpur district, two under Muktinath Battalion in Kaski district, 19 under Bindhya Basini Battalion in Rupandehi district, one under Maheshwori Battalion in Surkhet district and 20 under Baidhyanath Battalion in Kailali district, it was shared.

Similarly, Health Desk was set up in bordering places in Mahottari, Rupandehi, Sunsari, Saptari, Kailali districts. More such desks would be established in other places if needed.
