Lively Village Project introduced in Kubhinde to foster development
July 25, Kathmandu: In an endeavour to combat poverty and foster development in South Asian nations, a concept named “Lively Village Project” has been introduced in the village of Sindhupalchok district.
Introduced by the government of the People’s Republic of China, this transformative project, a testament to the enduring friendship between China and Nepal, holds the promise of a brighter future for the local community.
The project’s inauguration ceremony was held at the China-South Asian Nations Poverty Alleviation and Development Cooperation Centre, where esteemed guests gathered to witness this historic occasion. Among them were Agni Prasad Sapkota, Former Speaker of Nepal, and Shi Yu, the Economic and Commercial Consular at the Embassy of China to Nepal, who jointly inaugurated the initiative.
Kubhinde, nestled within the enchanting Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality-4, has been selected as the focal point of this life-changing project. Known for its animal husbandry, Kubhinde will be developed into a model ‘lively village,’ benefitting from strategic interventions in agriculture and livestock sectors.
Consular Shi Yu expressed his pride in pioneering this first-of-its-kind project in South Asia from the heart of Nepal, highlighting the profound significance of the collaboration between China and Nepal. Under the initial phase of the project, China will extend crucial financial and technical support to promote agricultural and livestock development in Kubhinde.
As the project progresses, it envisions expanding its scope to encompass other essential domains, including education and infrastructure. With plans to enhance educational opportunities and build vital infrastructure like roads and access to clean drinking water, the project aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem of progress and prosperity.
In his address at the inauguration, Former Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota called upon the collective support and cooperation of all stakeholders to make the Lively Village Project a resounding success. He expressed confidence that this transformative initiative would usher in positive change, providing a tangible upliftment in the lives of the local populace.
The Lively Village Project represents a tangible manifestation of China’s commitment to fostering cooperation and uplifting communities in South Asia. By joining hands with Nepal and embarking on this noble endeavour, the Chinese government seeks to promote shared prosperity and sustainable development.
As the project takes root and flourishes in Sindhupalchok, it is poised to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for neighbouring regions, reaffirming the power of international partnerships in bringing about enduring socio-economic progress.
