Over 400 climbers granted permits for climbing Mt. Everest

April 27, Kathmandu: Over 400 climbers have obtained permits to climb Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) during this year’s Spring Season, according to the Tourism Department.
The department said 463 climbers from 42 groups have received the permit so far, and only a few people are left in line to get permission.
Climbers with permits are currently stationed at the base camp and second camp.
The government has collected Rs 737 million in royalty from the Mt Everest climbing permits.
