NMA decides to close all the hospitals across the country on Sunbday

February 12, Kathmandu: The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has decided to close all the hospital-related services except for emergency on Sunday.

The decision has come as part of the protest against the physical assault on a doctor.

According to NMA, an emergency meeting of the central executive committee of the association on Saturday, decided to halt the services both in government and private hospitals.

Nepal medical association Chairperson Dr.Lochan Karki said the serious attention had been drawn towards the incident of phycial assault on doctor Janith Lal Singh and other medical personnel.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population, urged NMA, to withdraw its protest program through a statement issued on Sunday.
