Improving both education and technology, need of the hour: Minister Khanal

January 17, Kathmandu: The newly appointed Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Shisir Khanal, has promised to augment policies and programmes required to improve the quality of education in the country.

Talking to the media briefly after assuming office on Tuesday, the Education Minister said he would use his experiences in the education sector during his tenure and remain effortful to enhance the education sector.

He also pledged to proceed with the introduction of the Federal Education Act and the University Umbrella Act.

Minister Khanal said adjustment of teachers’ quota for schools, management of textbooks on time, implementation of post-COVID robust teaching and learning activities, and policy-level arrangements of quality improvement were his priorities.
