Infant mortality rate declines in Nepal

Kathmandu: Nepal’s infant mortality rate has declined during the period of the last five years.

The latest report unveiled by the Nepal Demographic and Health Survey, in 2022 showed the declining infant mortality rate in Nepal.

As per the report, Nepal’s infant mortality rate has declined to 33 deaths among 1 thousand infants. It was 39 deaths among 1 thousand infants as per the last survey carried out in 2016.
