Cabinet appoints KC as new IGP

Kathmandu: The Cabinet has decided to appoint Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Dr Manoj Kumar KC as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

The Cabinet also decided to assign outgoing IGP Dan Bahadur Karki to the position of Special Security Advisor to the Prime Minister.
