Govt. directs effective implementation of annual action plan

Kathmandu: The government has directed all the ministries and bodies to effectively implement the annual action plan and policy and programme of the current fiscal year 2083/84.

A meeting of secretaries held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Govinda Bahadur Karki at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar on Monday decided to prepare the detailed implementation plan of the government’s action plan and implement it promptly.

An action plan to clear and reduce the arrears mentioned in the Auditor General’s Report and conduct market monitoring to control consumer fraud and artificial shortage should also be prepared.

Similarly, the meeting took the decision of ensuring robust security during Tihar and Chhath festivals, prioritising domestic products in public procurement and implementing Government Decision Process (Simplification and Digitalisation) Regulations, 2083.

Likewise, decision was also taken to deliver citizen-friendly service at public offices by making arrangement of single point of service for the guarantee of easy, smooth and effective services to citizens.
