Finance Minister off to Bangkok

Kathmandu: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle left here today for Bangkok, Thailand to attend the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

The Ministry of Finance has stated that he is scheduled to have separate meetings with the IMF Managing Director, the World Bank’s Managing Directors, and the President of the Asian Development Bank during his stay in Bangkok.

During the annual meeting and other related gatherings, the Finance Minister will prioritize disaster management and share his specific views on natural disasters and preparedness. Minister Wagle is accompanied by Finance Secretary Ghanashyam Upadhyay and Chief of the Ministry’s International Economic Cooperation Coordination Division, and Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal.
