15th General Convention of Nepali Congress set to be inaugurated at Tundikhel on Sunday

Kathmandu: The 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress will be inaugurated tomorrow, on Sunday, at 2:00 pm at Tundikhel in Kathmandu.
Party President Gagan Kumar Thapa will inaugurate the convention. Senior leaders of the Nepali Congress and top leaders of major political parties are also scheduled to address the inaugural session.
Speaking at a press conference held today to provide information about preparations for the convention, party spokesperson Devaraj Chalise said this is also a historic convention because 44 thousand youths from the new generation have assumed responsibilities through the convention process, and more than 7 thousand representatives selected by them will participate.
The convention is being held following the party’s second special general convention.
Spokesperson Chalise said the entire effort of this convention will be focused on establishing rules and procedures within the Nepali Congress.
The party office said delegates from across the country and abroad are continuing to arrive in Kathmandu to participate in the convention.
