20th Asian Games: Nepal defeats Kyrgyzstan in women’s volleyball

Kathmandu: Nepal secured a convincing victory in women’s volleyball at the 20th Asian Games in Japan, defeating Kyrgyzstan 3-0 in straight sets today.

Nepal dominated the match from the outset, winning the first set 25-20. The Nepali team maintained its momentum in the second set, claiming it 25-16, before wrapping up the match with a 25-20 victory in the third set.

The win comes as a welcome boost for Nepal after a difficult start to its Asian Games.

Earlier, Nepal had suffered straight-set defeats against host Japan and Indonesia in the group stage, losing both matches 3-0.
