Sell LPG at Rs 2,060 per cylinder, appeals Association
Kathmandu: The Nepal LP Gas Industry Association has urged industry operators to sell LPG cylinders in the existing rate.

In a statement issued today, the Association requested that sales be conducted at the rate of Rs 2,060 per cylinder, which is the price set by the Nepal Oil Corporation starting last Friday.
After the Prithvi Highway was obstructed due to floods in the Bhote Koshi River, industry operators transported gas to Kathmandu via alternative routes and hence were charging consumers an additional Rs 105.38 per cylinder to cover additional transportation costs.
Following the obstruction of the Prithvi Highway, companies marketing cooking gas in Kathmandu Valley had been refilling cylinders at plants in Makwanpur, Parsa, Bara, Chitwan, Nawalparasi, and Dhanusha, and transporting the gas via alternative routes for sale since August 30.
