All-party meeting begins to discuss high-level disaster management mechanism

Kathmandu, September 16: An all-party meeting convened by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has begun in Kathmandu.

The meeting is underway at the RSP parliamentary party office in Singhadurbar, with discussions focused on forming a high-level political mechanism for disaster risk reduction and management.

The meeting is being attended by Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa, CPN leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Barshaman Pun, CPN-UML leader Padma Aryal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party leader Gyanendra Shahi and Janamat Party Chair CK Raut, among others.

The participants are discussing ways to strengthen coordination and response mechanisms for disaster risk reduction and management.
