China delivers fifth batch of emergency relief materials to Nepal

KATHMANDU, Sept. 11: China delivered its fifth batch of emergency disaster relief supplies to Nepal on Friday afternoon aboard a Chinese military transport aircraft, according to the Chinese Embassy in Nepal.

A People’s Liberation Army Air Force Y-20A large transport aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu carrying specialized equipment tailored to Nepal’s immediate operational requirements.

Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming attended the formal handover ceremony at the airport.

The latest consignment includes diesel generators, medical protective masks, mortuary freezers, water rescue equipment, and DNA testing equipment and reagents. According to official statements, the supplies are intended to support ongoing disaster response and follow-up operations across affected areas.
