Both Houses of Federal Parliament to Meet Today

Kathmandu, Aug 17: Meetings of both houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to take place today, with several bills listed for consideration.

The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 1 PM at Singha Durbar. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is set to present the Mines and Minerals Bill, 2083, for approval.

Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities, and Social SecuritySita Badi will present the Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, while Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is scheduled to propose the Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, for discussion.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly will convene at 1:15 PM. Minister for Agriculture, Forests and Environment Gita Chaudhary is scheduled to present the Infectious Animal Disease (Control) Bill, 2083, with a proposal to forward it to the Legislation Management Committee for further deliberation.
