Minister Khanal extends greetings on India’s 80th Independence Day

August 15, Kathmandu: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal extended his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and citizens of India on the occasion of their 80th Independence Day on Saturday.
Highlighting the rich historical, deep-rooted cultural ties, and robust people-to-people connections that bind Nepal and India, Minister Khanal emphasized the enduring foundation of the bilateral relationship.
In his official goodwill message to his Indian counterpart S Jainshankar, Minister Khanal expressed strong optimism that the close friendship, mutual trust, and multifaceted collaboration between the two neighboring nations will continue to expand and strengthen in the years ahead.
He noted that centuries of shared heritage, social harmony, and cross-border cooperation remain vital in fortifying diplomatic and economic relations between Nepal and India.
