FMTCL operates sales outlet in Singha Durbar
Kathmandu: The Food Management and Trading Company Limited (FMTCL) has started operating a sales outlet at the Singha Durbar premises from today.
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari inaugurated the outlet on the occasion of the company’s seventh anniversary.

The outlet will provide civil servants and service seekers at Singha Durbar with easy access to daily essential goods.
Minister Kumari said the government was working to provide quality food products to consumers at discounted prices.

Company Department Manager Ghana Shyam Aryal said priority has been given to Nepali products, with the aim of connecting domestic farmers and industries with consumers.
The outlet currently offers 142 types of food and other essential items.
Meanwhile, the company has also started operating fair-price shops at 193 locations in 44 districts from today.
