RSP general convention begins in Chitwan
Chitwan: The first general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has begun in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
Party President Rabi Lamichhane and senior leader of the party and Prime Minister Balendra Shah jointly inaugurated the convention by ringing bells, as per the scheduled programme.

RSP office bearers, central leaders and delegates are participating in the convention. A total of 4,211 delegates are expected to take part in the general convention, according to the party.
Leaders from various political parties are also present at the inaugural session, including Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa, CPN-UML leader Pradip Kumar Gyawali, Nepali Communist Party leader Barshaman Pun and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden.

Similarly, former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav, and Janamat Party Chairman Chandrakant Raut are also attending the programme.
The party said a large number of district-level leaders, cadres and well-wishers from Chitwan and nearby districts are present at the venue.
