Two Bangladeshi nationals held with hefty amount from TIA

Kathmandu: Two Bangladeshi nationals- Mohammad Intaj Ali, aged 39, and Mohammad Zakir Hussain, aged 50- were apprehended at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) while attempting to board a Batik Air flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The police arrested them after finding a cash amount of over Rs 3.1 million hidden in the false bottoms of their suitcases during baggage check at the departure section.

It is worth noting that Intaj Ali has a history of frequent visits to Nepal, with over 38 visits, while Hussain has travelled 11 times.

Following their arrest, the individuals were sent to the Revenue Investigation Department for further investigation and action.
