Cabinet meeting makes various decisions
Kathmandu: A meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to extend the tenure of a committee formed to study and recommend measures concerning the security mechanism mentioned in the report submitted by the Probe Commission regarding the September 8-9 (2025) Gen Z movement.

Minister for Education and Sports and Government Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel shared about the meeting’s decision with the media.
Likewise, the Cabinet meeting decided to appoint Balabhdra Banstola (Kaski) as the Chair of the Land Problem Settlement Commission. It also appointed Amir Prasad Neupane (Kathmandu), Padhmini Soti (Lamjung) and Dr Rehana Shrestha (Kathmandu) as committee members.
The meeting also agreed to accept an agreement relating to the implementation of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.
Likewise, the meeting decided to promote Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Armed Police Force, Anjani Kumar Pokharel, to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG).
