Woman dies after house collapse during storm in Rautahat

Rautahat, May 26: A woman died after her house collapsed due to a storm in Brindaban Municipality of Rautahat district on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Phul Kumari Devi of Dhamauratol. She was seriously injured when her tile-roofed house caved in during the storm.

According to Acting Information Officer at the District Police Office, Rohit Kumar Sharma Badhai, she died while undergoing treatment at Better Nepal Hospital in Garuda on Monday night.

Police said the storm damaged the house, leading to its collapse. The incident resulted in fatal injuries to the victim, who could not survive despite treatment.

Meanwhile, police have arrested 10 individuals who were absconding in connection with various cases in the district.
