Ambassador Lorenzo pays courtesy call on Minister Paudel
Kathmandu: European Union Ambassador to Nepal Véronique Lorenzo paid a courtesy call on Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadakraj Paudel.

During the meeting held at the Ministry today, discussions were held on contemporary issues, including culture, tourism promotion and aviation safety, Minister Poudel’s secretariat stated.
On the occasion, Minister Paudel informed the EU Ambassador about the efforts made to strengthen the institutional capacity of Nepal’s aviation safety and the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, and the policy reforms made to promote tourism, including health tourism.
In response, Ambassador Lorenzo expressed commitment to cooperate in the field of culture and tourism promotion.
The EU Ambassador said that removing Nepal from the aviation safety list is a common goal of both the EU and Nepal, and expressed satisfaction with Nepal’s efforts in improving aviation safety and its readiness to resolve sectoral problems.
