Constitution Amendment Panel to Gather Expert Opinions

Kathmandu, April 23: A task force formed to draft a concept paper on constitutional amendment has decided to consult experts as part of its preparation process.

The panel, led by Asim Shah, political advisor to the Prime Minister, endorsed an action plan during its second meeting held on Thursday. According to the plan, the task force will begin collecting suggestions from relevant experts daily at 3:00 pm starting next Monday.

Member Secretary and Law Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Pushkar Sapkota, presented the draft action plan at the meeting. The proposal was approved after incorporating feedback from the task force members.

Coordinator Shah said the concept paper on constitutional amendment would be prepared and submitted within the allotted timeline.
