Youth should create jobs, not seek them: Minister Pokharel

Biratnagar, April 21: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel has said young people should focus on entrepreneurship instead of relying on traditional employment.

Addressing the 14th convocation ceremony of Purbanchal University in Morang today, Minister Pokharel urged graduates to use their knowledge and skills to generate opportunities on their own. He said effective use of education and innovation can contribute to building a strong and prosperous Nepal.

The Minister acknowledged the university’s role in producing skilled human resources over nearly three decades, noting its contribution to the country’s development. He also said the government is working to make higher education more practical, research-oriented and quality-focused.

A total of 6,706 students from different faculties graduated during the ceremony.
