Nepal’s Kunwar wins overseas gold at Pakistan Military Academy

Kathmandu: Nepali Army cadet Pobin Kunwar has been awarded the Chief of Defence Forces Overseas Gold Medal at a passing-out parade of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul.

Kunwar received the honour as the top-performing cadet among participants from friendly countries, according to Pakistan’s military media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The award was presented during a recently held ceremony attended by Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu as the chief guest.

The ceremony marked the graduation of cadets from multiple courses at the academy. Cadets from several countries, including Iraq, Maldives, Mali, Palestine, Qatar and Sri Lanka, were also part of the graduating batch.

Kunwar’s achievement highlights Nepal’s strong representation in international military training institutions.
