Two dead on the spot, six injured in Kanchanpur road accident

Kanchanpur: Two people died on the spot, and six others were injured as a passenger-carrying jeep plunged into Krishnapur Municipality in Kanchanpur district this evening.

Police Inspector of District Police Office Birendra Thapa said that the accident occurred after the jeep (Se 1 Ja 290) fell some 50 metres off the road at the Kumgada area of the municipality. Nandaram Parki, around 60 years old, and Kalawati Devi Bohara, 62, of Krishnapur Municipality-1, died on the spot, according to police.

Police stated that the jeep driver, Arjun Saud, 24, has sustained serious head injuries. Dhansari Bohara, Sarita Bohara, Bhawana Parki, Reshma Ghatal and Ganga Bista are also injured in the mishap.

Police Inspector Thapa shared that the injured ones were rushed to Dhangadhi, Kailali, for treatment.
