UML secretariat meeting begins
Bhaktapur: A secretariat meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has begun at the residence of party chairman KP Sharma Oli in Gundu, Bhaktapur.
According to party sources, the meeting will review the recently concluded elections and finalize the names of members to be recommended for proportional representation seats in Parliament.
The Election Commission of Nepal has already asked political parties to submit the names of their proportional representation lawmakers by Sunday.
The meeting is also expected to discuss the party’s future strategy and other contemporary political issues.
Chairman Oli is currently observing mourning following the death of his father, who passed away on Friday at the age of 97.
