Westerly Winds Continue to Affect Nepal; Mist Forecast in Terai
Kathmandu, Jan 22: The partial influence of westerly winds persists across Nepal, bringing cloudy skies in the hills and mist in the Terai.
The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted partly cloudy weather over the high hill and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces this afternoon, while most other areas of the country will remain mainly clear. Some parts of the Terai are expected to experience mist tonight, reducing visibility.
The Division has warned that fog and mist may disrupt operations at Terai airports, potentially causing flight delays. Drivers of both long- and short-distance vehicles are advised to exercise caution while traveling under these conditions.
