Nepali Communist Party coordinator Prachanda files nomination from Rukum East

Rukum East: Nepali Communist Party coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, known as Prachanda, has registered his nomination for the House of Representatives from Rukum East.

He submitted his candidacy today at the District Election Office in Rukum East, in the presence of party leaders, cadres, and supporters from both central and district levels. Prachanda’s nomination from the birthplace of the historic people’s war is seen as politically significant.

Speaking after filing his nomination, Prachanda said he was committed to advancing the journey of change, social justice, and prosperity, based on the trust and support of the people. He also noted the continuous backing he has received from the families of martyrs, the injured, and disabled citizens of Rukum East.

Prachanda added that his election campaign will focus on regional development, inclusion, and improving living standards for the people.
