Kathmandu: Fintech Alliance Nepal (FAN) has announced the inaugural Nepal Fintech Expo 2026, which will take place on January 2-3, 2026, at Heritage Garden, Sanepa, Lalitpur. The event, under the theme “A Common Platform for Financial Institutions to Meet Tech Innovators,” marks Nepal’s largest and first-ever fintech-focused expo, aiming to unite the country’s digital finance ecosystem.
The two-day expo will cover a wide range of fintech-related sectors, including digital payments, banking technologies, embedded finance, cybersecurity, cloud banking, AI, blockchain, and more. With over 4,000 participants expected, the event will attract stakeholders from across the fintech industry, including banks, insurance companies, investment firms, government agencies, regulators, tech startups, and international investors.
The expo will feature more than 60 standard booths, a Startup Demo Zone, a Tech Community Zone, and experiential showcases from leading fintech firms. Innovators and tech community members will be able to display their cutting-edge solutions on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additionally, the event will host industry-focused knowledge sessions on critical topics such as digital transformation, credit scoring, fraud management, financial inclusion, embedded finance, and the expansion of the payment ecosystem. These sessions are designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among industry leaders, policymakers, and service providers.
The Nepal Fintech Expo will bring together over 4,000 participants, including representatives from Banks and Financial Institutions (BFIs), Payment Service Operators (PSOs), Payment Service Providers (PSPs), insurance companies, investment firms, and IT companies. The event is also expected to attract tech startups, regulators, government agencies, and international delegates.

Employees of regulated institutions, including the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), and iCAN, will receive free entry upon presenting an official ID. In a bid to encourage greater participation, corporate members of FAN will receive a 50% discount on standard booth bookings.
The expo is set to play a crucial role in promoting Nepal’s digital economy and strengthening the country’s fintech ecosystem. By bringing together innovators, institutional leaders, and entrepreneurs, the event aims to showcase Nepal’s potential in the global fintech arena. FAN’s commitment to unifying the fintech industry and supporting the growth of domestic products and services underscores the event’s broader goal of fostering sustainable development within Nepal’s digital economy.
