4.3-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Darchula
Kathmandu, Dec 9 – An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck near Kalapani in the northern part of Darchula district along the Nepal–China border at 9:24 pm on Tuesday.
The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur confirmed that the epicenter was located in Darchula district of Sudurpashchim Province. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.
Earlier, a 3.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Martadi of Bajura district on Monday evening. Small tremors have been occurring repeatedly in western Nepal in recent days, according to the center.
