Minister Ghising inspects flood-affected areas in Jhapa

Jhapa: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising has inspected flood-affected areas in Jhapa this morning.

Mininster Ghising visited roads, bridges and settlements in Arjundhara Municipality and Jhapa Rural Municipality that were damaged by floods from the Kankai and Biring rivers.

According to Jhapa’s Assistant Chief District Officer Tej Prakash Prasain, the minister observed the bridge under construction over the Kankai mai River as well as the Sanomai Bridge, which was submerged due to recent heavy rain.
