Govt committed to holding election: Minister Kharel

Kathmandu: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel, has said the government was committed to holding elections by fulfilling the genuine demands of Gen-Z people.

Minister Kharel said it after an all-party meeting with the Cabinet members, including the Prime Minister, on Friday. The meeting was held at the initiative of President Ramchandra Paudel in Shital Niwas.

Also, the spokesperson of the government, Minister Kharel, informed that the meeting dwelt on the election. The President enquired both the government and political parties on the preparation for the election.

The Head of State stressed holding the election to the House of Representatives on the slated date.

On the occasion, the government assured the President and political parties that adequate security would be ensured and resources managed for holding the election.

“There is no doubt that political parties’ participation is essential to make the election successful,” he added.
