Election commission calls political parties for discussion on upcoming HoR elections

Kathmandu: The Election Commission has invited political parties for discussions on October 16 regarding the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

According to Commissioner Dr. Janaki Kumari Tuladhar, letters have been sent to political parties that were represented in the dissolved House of Representatives and those that won at least one ward seat in the last election.

Parties invited include the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party, among others.

Dr. Tuladhar said that although the commission released the election schedule on October 6 for internal preparations, the final decision on the election program will be made after consultations with the political parties.
