Home Ministry urges public to maintain peace and order
Kathmandu: The Ministry of Home Affairs has appealed to all citizens to help maintain peace, order, and security across the country.
In a press statement today, the Home Ministry urged individuals and groups to ensure that assemblies, conferences, meetings, or protests are conducted peacefully, without violence, provocation, or disruption.
It said preparations for the upcoming general election are already underway,
The Home Ministry noted that election preparations began following the formation of the new interim government after the recent Gen-Z movement, which called for promotion of national interest, good governance, and anti-corruption measures.
The interim government, led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki, was formed on the 12th of September with a mandate to hold the House of Representatives elections on the 5th of March next year.
