Finance Minister Khanal vows economic development
Biratnagar: Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has vowed economic development and protection of national interest. Minister Khanal said it during a programme organized here on Wednesday.
“Nation’s interest is the major priority,” he reiterated.
The Minister sought cooperation from private sector for reducing corruption. He shared the government’s decision to lay off the employees appointed as advisors and personal secretaries in a bid to maintain austerity.
In his view, the private sector not only earns profit but also devotes to long term change.
On the occasion, FNCCI President Chandra Dhakal said a scientific evaluation of the goods (imports and exports) was imperative for fair trade. He expressed belief that Finance Minister would be active to make the national economy dynamic.
Dhakal further suggested the Minister that he took initiative to enforce the suggestions furnished by the high level economic reform commission which he had chaired earlier.
On the occasion, the business persons in Biratnagar city handed over a written suggestion to Minister Khanal.
