62 inmates escaped from Myagdi jail returned

Myagdi: A total of 62 inmates who escaped from Myagdi jail last week have returned. They had fled after breaking the jail on September 10.

Police Inspector of the District Police Office, Myagdi Sagar Paudel informed that all the inmates except 14 have so far returned to jail. The police arrested them and brought to the prison.

Meanwhile, a police team has been mobilized to search for the remaining escaped inmates. The police also held three other prisoners who fled from Kathmandu and Kaski.

According to Police Inspector Paudel, five persons who helped the prisoners escape from the jail have also been arrested, and charges have been filed against them under the Prison Act, 2079.
