BP Highway to resume 24-hour operation from tomorrow
Kathmandu: The BP Highway, which has been closed at night due to monsoon risks, will operate round-the-clock from tomorrow.
A meeting of the Safety Committee at the Kavrepalanchok District Administration Office decided to lift the night ban with the withdrawal of the monsoon, citing upcoming festivals.
The committee said the move follows the approved road safety action plan.
Vehicular movement had been restricted at night since the 3rd of June due to floods and landslides, with the ban extended until the end of August. The restriction covered the section from Dhulikhel in Kavrepalanchok to Nepalthok on the Sindhuli border.
