Nepal offers favourable investment environment, Finance Minister Paudel tells Malaysian investors

July 4, Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has urged Malaysian investors to explore opportunities in Nepal’s infrastructure and tourism sectors, highlighting the country’s conducive investment climate.

Speaking to a delegation from the Malaysia-Nepal Business Council on Friday, Finance Minister Paudel emphasised the strong potential for investment in these areas and assured government support and facilitation for private sector initiatives.

He noted that Nepal’s policies were investor-friendly and encouraged investors to identify and pursue opportunities with thorough preparation. The delegation expressed interest in sectors such as information technology, trade, hydropower, infrastructure, environment, and tourism.

The group included key members of the Malaysia-Nepal Business Council, including President Pradeep Kumar Kukreja, Dr. Chai Kee Kan, Ganesh Kumar Bangah, and M.K. Sangar.
